I just might be a night owl,
Sleeping at day and at night I prowl,
Doing what I please,
While still half asleep.
Maybe I'm nocturnal,
And this is natural (for me).
Or maybe it's a bad habit,
And I need to get rid of it.
I just might be a night owl,
During the day I'm quiet but at night I howl (not really).
Doing what I must,
Long past the dusk.
Maybe I'm nocturnal,
Maybe the cause is external,
Maybe the sun is infernal,
Maybe the moon is more paternal,
Maybe I like the dark,
Maybe it's easier to hark,
Maybe silence is a virtue,
Maybe daytime needs review.

As a well-documented sleeper, I have a habit of staying up all night and crashing randomly throughout the day like a narcoleptic. I often question whether or not it's plausible, as with most things. I think of pros and I think of cons. This poem is basically a collection of those pros and cons, only stylized. The very last line suggests that perhaps I judge daytime too harshly and should review it.
